Lowul Frill Slippers are one of the Lowul Slippers series with leather Triskele embalished with Swarovski® crystals. The color of these Slippers is deep black. We all associate black with power, fear, mystery, strength, authority, elegance, formality, death, evil and aggression, rebellion and sophistication and we on the other hand always associate it with pure extravagance, too. It is very much obvious that black slippers like Lowul Frill Slippers look sophisticated.

Why “Triskele” symbol? Derived from the Greek word “Triskeles” meaning “three legs”, the Triskele or Triple Spiral is a complex ancient Celtic symbol. Firstly, the triskele represents motion as all three arms are positioned to make it appear as if it is moving outwards from its center. Movement, or motion, is believed to signify energies, in particular within this Celtic Symbol the motion of action, cycles, progress, revolution and competition. Secondly, some of these connotations include: life-death-rebirth, spirit-mind-body, mother-father-child, past-present-future, power-intellect-love and creation-preservation-destruction to name but a few. It’s thought that through the combination of these two areas we gain one meaning of the Celtic triskele. It is believed to represent a tale of forward motion to reach understanding. However, it is also believed to represent three Celtic worlds; the spiritual world, the present world and the celestial world.

With Frill we wanted to combine black elegance and sophistication with Swarovski crystals, to make them look extravagant and than again we used very powerfull and meaningfull Triskele symbol to combine the spiritual, the present and the celestial world in to one simply beautiful Slippers combination.
